Dr. Li is honored as the member of the Glandular Committee of Endocrinology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Member of the Department of Reproductive Endocrinology of the Chinese Medical Association, Member of the Guangdong Diabetes Association, Consultant of the Reproductive Endocrinology Group of the Guangdong Provincial Male Science Society, and the Vice-Chair of the Physician Branch of the Shenzhen Medical Association, Vice President of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Branch of the Shenzhen Health Management Association, the fund review expert of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Guangdong Medical Device Registration Review Expert.
Dr. Li has been engaged in clinical care, education and research for more than 20 years in the Department of Endocrinology of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital. She is expert in treating endocrine and metabolic diseases such as diabetes, thyroid diseases, pituitary diseases and adrenal diseases. She has also accumulated rich clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of rare endocrine diseases.
Her research focuses on adipocytokines and insulin resistance, clinical and basic research of gonadal diseases. She has published more than 60 academic papers and presided over the research of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Provincial Natural Science Fund Project. She was awarded the First Prize of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education in 2007 and the First Prize of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province in 2008. Dr. Li is part of the panelists on the diagnosis and treatment of idiopathic hypogonadism in China.
