Inpatient Department Guidebook of 7th Hospital of SAHSYSU for Foreigners in Shenzhen
Procedure of admission
If the patient needs to be hospitalized, the physician will check with the inpatient ward staff first.
The physician submits the hospitalization applying form and the patient will receive the short message as confirmation.
If there’s no bed left, the patient has to wait for the ward bed at home until s/he receives the admission message/call.
Go through the paperwork of hospitalization procedure at the ward nursing station (patient ID card, visa/passport, bank card is needed)

Procedure of discharge
The patient receives the discharge notice
The patient or his/her family pays for the hospitalization fee with patient ID card.
The medical providers give some do's and don'ts for the patient when discharged
Nurses will distribute discharge medication (if any), disease diagnosis, and hospitalization summary.
For hospitalization invoice and item list, patient can have it printed out and stamped at the cashier.
The patient families pick up the patient with discharge notice message.

1.???? Once admitted, the patient should follow the rules and regulations of the Inpatient Department. Leaving the hospital on one’s own is not allowed.
2.???? Items to be taken when admitted: personal toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, towel, washbasin, shower gel, shampoo, etc.), underwear and slippers.
3.???? The pre-deposit money for hospitalization is 2000RMB and will be adjusted by the physician as needed.
4.???? Family visit time: 3pm-9:30pm from Monday to Friday; 10am-12am, 3pm-9:30pm on Saturday and Sunday
5.???? Mobile phone recharger, lost and found, wheelchair, umbrella, reading glasses, needle box and drinking cups etc. are available at the patient service center.
