Cardiovasology Department of Seventh Affiliated Hospital of SYSU consists of multiple subspecialties, including Cardiovascular Disease (CVD), Structural Heart Disease (SHD), Heart Failure (HF), Arrhythmias, Aortic and Peripheral Artery Disease, Hypertension, Heart Disease Rehabilitation. Our department is equipped with the leading-edge diagnostic facilities, which ensures a more accurate diagnosis. We aim to build into a top-level department integrating clinical care, medical education and research, and serving as the largest Center for Cardiovascular Disease Treatment and Prevention (CCDTP) in Guangming District.

The following clinical diagnosis and treatment services are available: Coronary Angiography and Percutaneous Coronary Artery Intervention (CAG & PCI), Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) guided Intervention, Coronary Plaque Grinding, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Peripheral Vessel Intervention ( e.g. Aortic Dissection, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and Renal Artery Stenosis), Congenital Heart Disease Intervention, Permanent Pacemaker Implantation (Atrial Pacing, Ventricular Pacing, A-V Pacing, CRT, ICD), Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology Studies and Arrhythmia Ablation (Including CARTO 3-Dimension guided atrial fibrillation ablation).

Cardiovasology Dept. now possesses 30 beds (4 Intensive Care Unit beds included), and 7 subspecialties with 200 more beds will be established in phase II construction. Cardiac Intensive Care Units are equipped with advanced central/distal monitoring systems and rescue equipment, which greatly improves the rescue success rate.
