The Emergency and Disaster Rescue Medical Center, as one of the core program of The Seventh Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University, is devoted to improving patient care in emergency medicine and assume responsibility for disaster rescue of Shenzhen. Our common vision is that our center will be recognized as one of the best emergency care provider in the country.

Our mission is to provide high-quality therapeutic and diagnostic procedures that improve the quality of life and outcomes for the patients we serve. In addition to internal medicine, As the biggest medical center of our hospital, our center comprises of emergency surgery, pre-hospital first aid, mobile hospital, disaster emergency medical rescue team and intensive critical unit. More recently, in collaboration with cardiology and neurology divisions, we plan to build the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular center for patients who suffer from STEMI and acute cerebral infarction patients.

Our center maintains an active?research program?in both basic and clinical domains.?We had completed two programs supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). As a teaching hospital, we provide clinical and academic training for emergency residents and interns.
Our center delivers comprehensive care to a large volume of patients, including internal medicine, emergency surgery, emergency obstetrics and gynecology, emergency E.N.T. We focus on and specialize in the rescue and treatment of various critically ill and severe diseases such as acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, organ failure, severe trauma, poisoning.
