OPHTHALMOLOGY

The Ophthalmology Department is directed by Prof. Hongjun Peng, who has been working in Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center for over 30 years. We are at the cutting edge of new therapies, together with well-equipped facilities, advanced ophthalmological equipment and most importantly, highly skilled and compassionate specialists. By adopting a MDT approach, we provide precise and holistic eye care to our patient.

The department now is staffed by 1 professor, 4 attending doctors, 7 residents, all of whom are trained or graduated from Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center. Our specialists are highly specialized in dealing with conditions and performing treatment as follows:
1. Corneal and ocular surface diseases, Cataract, Glaucoma, Vitreoretinal diseases, Refraction, Strabismus and Amblyopia, Ocular plastic and Low Vision.
2. Cataract phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation, Strabismus surgery, Ocular plastic surgery, Glaucoma, Lacrimal surgery, Refractive Laser surgery.
