ONCOLOGY
The Oncology Department, the Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, as one the earliest established department in the hospital, enjoys tremendous advantages which allows us to offer state-of-the-art and comprehensive care for our patient.? Bolstered by Sun Yat-sen University affiliated hospital network, it will soon become home to clinical care, teaching and scientific research on a wide of range of cancer diseases. Apart from effort in establishing Center for Lymphoma of Sun Yat-sen University at international level, we proactively take a multidisciplinary approach in diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, gastric cancer, head and neck cancer, breast cancer, primary liver cancer, Germ-cell tumors, bone and soft tissue sarcomata, which engages specialists of radiotherapy, chemotherapy, biological targeted therapy, interventional therapy and palliative care etc. There are 35 beds in oncology and 15 oncologists, including 10 doctors and 5 masters with high academic credential and high technical ability. The painless ward provides safe, efficient, high quality, and comfortable medical services for patients.
To pioneer innovative and advanced cancer care practice, our department works closely with world-famous institutions, such as the University of Pennsylvania in the U.S, the First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University and Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center to forge an internationalized collaboration platform. Leveraging the platform’s unique advantages and resources, we are well placed to provide patients with world-class, quality medical care and help patients to navigate the challenge related to cancer diagnosis.
