The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University consists of three subspecialties: Gynecology, Obstetrics and Family Planning, which undertake the tasks of clinical services, education and research.

The Department stands ready to provide the expert diagnosis and cutting-edge treatment of common gynecological diseases, frequent-occurring and rare conditions, such as benign and malignant gynecological tumors, pelvic floor dysfunction disease, gynecological endocrine diseases, gynecological infections, endometriosis, female infertility and recurrent abortion. At our department, patients have access to a full range of treatments, including rehabilitation of pelvic floor function and Post-Abortion Care.

Equipped with advanced instruments and equipment, we are well placed to conduct all kinds of surgeries, such as laparotomy, transvaginal surgery, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Our surgeons are highly experienced and skilled in conducting minimally invasive surgeries and gynecological endoscopy tests, which include but not limited to radical hysterectomy, pelvic lymphadenectomy, sacral hysteropexy, total hysterectomy, myomectomy, resection of endometriosis and adenomyosis lesions, resection of uterine sacra diverticulum after Cesarean section, resection of uterine Cesarean scar pregnancy, and fallopian tube anastomosis with laparoscopy, and intrauterine adhesions release, electrotomy of submucous myoma, reproductive tract malformation correction with hysteroscopy.
