GENERAL SURGERY
The General Surgery Department, the Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University is one of the earliest established departments of the hospital, which integrates clinical care, teaching and scientific research with strong clinical and technical strength and cutting-edge equipment. It comprises several sub-specialties including hepatobiliary and pancreatic spleen surgery outpatient, the breast outpatient, the thyroid outpatient, the hernia outpatient and the inpatient department. The core members of the department come from the First Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University who enjoy years of studying and training experience overseas. The 36-bed department is staffed by 18 specialists, including 3 Ph.Ds. and 15 masters. Our department inherits the fine tradition of the Sun Yat-sen University Affiliated Hospital network. Our healthcare providers prioritize patients’ wellbeing by offering safe and quality care while taking time to listen to and address patients’ concerns as a whole person. We adopt the multidisciplinary model for diagnosis and treatment, and champion enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS). Together with our comfortable and quality ward, we are fully capable to rendering professional and compassionate care for the patients with shortest stay in hospital.
